Victoria Mak is an artist and illustrator based in Chicago. Their practice explores the interplay of oppression and desire through personal queer mythology, seeking to bridge the disconnection between the self and the collective. Working with watercolor and scent, Mak observes transformation and erotic tension by tuning into the natural rhythms of their body. Intertwined with the natural world, they use organic materials at hand to preserve fleeting memories and intimate rituals, while sharing the sentimental slivers of love found within their life.
